The design of the carbon scheme Ross Garnaut has come up with seems quite sensible to me. Its unlikely to have a major impact on anyone except coal fired electricity generators. Coal exports and other export sensitive industries will be untouched. Gas generators and renewable generators will do well.
So where is the economic catastrophe and why is it reckless?
