    Usually its applied when you go front on to an opponent, in my day just before contact it was, turn your shoulder slightly, drop it and raise and brace for contact. The intent was always there.

    To apply it to a Fullback coming across in cover defense at full speed is just rediculous. Its laughable.

    Slater, bumped the bloke over the sideline that would be the correct explanation for what he did. Not shoulder charged over it. imo

    If they make an example of Slater then the Easts Hooker will probably go as well.

    Do the NRL and Fans really want/need that???

    If Slater is suspended then its a dark day for the NRL and its Officials.
