Cameroon is a side issue, one where it would have been great if cvi did manage to get, but not the end of the world now that it didn't.

Had MS knew that they could eventually link up with so many influencial groups in Angola, and offered participation in all these permits, MS said he won't have bothered to take on Matanda. Having said this, MS said that he still believes cvi has some leverage in Cameroon and the parties which didn't live up to their end of the deal would have to come good on a different deal in Cameroon.

MS also maintains that the key person cvi was negotiating with over Matanda has been sick. Now, I believe MS is speaking the truth from his prespective, as that's what the Cameroons are telling him. Its the Cameroons who are probably misleading MS, giving the excuse that the key man is sick, as they know the deal will now be struck with Glencore/Afex for double the price. MS also mentioned that Cameroon is currently experiecing abit of internal political strife. He didn't elaborate on that I don't think.

So ultimately we can't blame MS over this issue. Fortunately, I believe our dealings in Angola is not as shifty turny as Cameroon, and its based on much solid foundations. So far, MS's comments about all the Angolan deals does make sense for me, hence I'm confortable with cvi's progress in Angola.

Cameroon is now a side issue.
