Rada ratified Ukraine WTO joining protocol

11.04.2008 17:46 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has adopted protocol on Ukraine accession to World Trade Organization (WTO).

Protocol adoption was voted for by 411 people deputies Apr 10, 2008.

Thus, May 11, 2008 Ukraine will become WTO full member (in 30 days after protocol ratification).

As to Agro Perspective earlier report, President Viktor Yushchenko had signed Ukraine WTO joining protocol in Geneva Feb 5, 2008.

things seem to be progressing nicely on all fronts (apart from Nato of course but doesn't matter a great deal imo)
