Oops - I read about the TDO directors at the same time and mixed it up in my head - and most of the senior TDO guys were BHP senior oil & gas experts.
However I stand by my assertion that the BAS directors would not have entered into the agreement to drill a dud well, and the choice of the lower risk well favours BAS and probably makes no difference to Apache as they will drill them all eventually anyway.
