Alcon Announces First Quarter 2008 Financial Release and Conference Call Dates
HUENENBERG, Switzerland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 28, 2008--Alcon, Inc. (NYSE: ACL), the world's leading eye care company, will report on its first quarter financial results for the period ended March 31, 2008 after the market close on Wednesday, April 23, 2008.

Management of the company will host a conference call to discuss these results on Thursday, April 24, 2008, at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time. Presenting from Alcon will be Cary Rayment, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Richard Croarkin, Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer.


I just wonder if the board got some inside info and decided to pull the plug. The excuse given was known, decline of world finacial markets late 2007 and early 2008 and share price, it's been in decline for a few months. Also they had to consult with Alcon as part of the process.
