Yeah I noticed they didn't give a time frame. IMO we won't see any exploration for at least one year. I think the Pancon/Key equity will be diluted so that a suitable Operator can be welcomed. This is what happened with Hardman - their Mauritanian interest was only 20% - and a suitable Operator would most certainly have to be Tullow Oil given the guys from Key and Tullow would be very well acquanted (Tullow bought Hardman).

Key will definately want to get stuck into the short to medium stuff first though, that is, the Po Valley and possibly further Nunyi exploration.

Yeah the PR skills of the firm are average. But I've thought about this and given Ted Ellyard's travails with Hardman, and Ken Russell's work experience (Shell, Chevron, BHPBP, Hardman) I think they've probably worked on HUGE projects and - well, to put it simply - are not easily excited given this fact. Plus it seems that oil & gas pros have limited PR skills in general.

Just smacks of Hardman here given this is now the area where the story unfolded. I read this thread a while ago about 'who will be the next Hardman?' and people suggested Otto, Incremental and PanCon and others - some guys even said how they were Ellyard fans yet not one of them mentioned KEY. Funny, given Ellyard is the chairman and founder of the company.

I agree with Ken Russell, "We were always going to be considered 'Hardman 2' by some people," Russell said over lunch in Melbourne. "That was fine when we were listing, but different company, and we are writing our own story now."

Best of luck boys. To be honest, I was considering bailing on KEY after the Po Valley. Now I'm in for the long haul.
