There is no way ANZ would have handed the shares back to FAS without it becoming a legal issue, and if FAS had obtained a court order to stop ANZ selling then ANZ would still be the "owner" of the shares. Either way it is pretty piss poor information from the ANZ but that has been the case during this whole Opes debacle.
