One could have empathy with that sort of intensity and beauty of expression and feeling in diffferent circumstances but to get lost in the art and forget the heartless, cruel and murderous intent is perverse and is just another symptom of an unhinged world.
(There is a verse in the bible that covers this sort of whitewashing of evil. Not verbatim: "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil").
