I dont understand why the 2 announcements could not have been released togther?
They cant try and tell me that a major gold find was imminent and then in 4 hours there were significant developments that warranted a trading halt and an exploration update!
The first announcement sounded ridiculous to me anyway. How can anyone say they are on the verge of a major find? Either they have found something or they havent...and until they find something they cant be 100% certain that they will find anything of any significance!
What does 'imminent' mean anyway? To me it means within days at most but to these guys it may mean 6 months???
Would oil companies get away with announcing they are on the verge of a major oil find as they approach the target depth of a drill? I doubt it!!
This debacle has more than likely done some serious damage to the credibility of the company and has probably scared off potential investors that were keeping an eye on it.
