Genuine question because I spent a bit of time trying to work out AVL numbers but I think they reported their PFS post-tax not pre-tax? Although I could be wrong as I don't think it was explicitly stated anywhere either way. I agree with you in that I think they should both be judged on a 10% NPV.
Anyways IRR is good enough on both to get off the ground without too much trouble you would assume.
