PILBARA INFRASTRUCTURE 6 FLINDERS MINES - HAMERSLEY PROJECT EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING - 16 APRIL 2008 6 KEY HIGHLIGHTS JANUARY 2008 • Hamersley project a JV between FDL and Prenti Exploration Pty Ltd (May 2003). FDL bought 50% for $50,000 cash. FDL now earning 100% equity and Prenti retaining a 5% net profit royalty • FDL agrees with FMG (March 2005) to swap commodity rights on Hamersley project tenements with FMG taking iron ore rights (1% FOB royalty) and FDL taking diamond rights (no royalty) – E47/882 not included • Plus 325 Mt iron ore target defined close to FMG’s 1.7 Bt Solomon Project Area and Rio Tinto’s 0.9 Bt Caliwingina North deposit • FDL decides to Change Name to Flinders Mines Limited and commence iron ore exploration – diamond exploration to continue as a secondary activity • Decision to drill out iron ore target to JORC inferred resource status by Q4, 2008 – at budgeted cost of $8 million 7 FLINDERS MINES - HAMERSLEY PROJECT EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING - 16 APRIL 2008 7 FLINDER’S DIAMOND EXPLORATION Flinders Diamonds has embarked upon new diamond exploration on the highly prospective Gawler Craton where the Craton is thickest and more prospective for diamonds. The Gawler Craton program will use experience from Flinders Ranges with airborne magnetics, to locate kimberlites under shallow sedimentary cover. Within the Gawler Craton well over 60 additional targets with kimberlite type magnetic signatures have been identified. In the Flinders Ranges a recent helimag survey has identified 18 new kimberlites during the year – three being diamondiferous. This brings the total kimberlites found to well over 110 in the last few years, of which 25% are diamond bearing. New helimag surveys over the northern Flinders Ranges have identified magnetic anomalies indicative of kimberlite type bodies. On Flinders Island the integration of REPTEM survey data, with very abundant diamond indicator results within Tertiary sedimentary cover is being used to generate new drill targets for buried kimberlites. The Budget for 2008 is AUD $3million, with another AUD $3million proposed for 2009 which includes using a DMS (Dense Media Flinders Diamonds project areas Separation) plant to test kimberlites. 8 FLINDERS MINES - HAMERSLEY PROJECT EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING - 16 APRIL 2008 8 FDL Tenements - iron ore & diamonds 100% FDL-Prenti FMG Prospects FDL Tenements - FMG 100% iron ore, FDL iron ore royalty, FDL 100% diamonds FMG Tenements - FMG 100% iron ore, FDL 100% diamonds, no royalties RIO Calinwingina North Resource FDL = Flinder Diamonds Limited FMG = Fortescue Metals Group Limited RIO = Rio Tinto Limited RIO Tenement Area FMG Proposed "Kennedy Railway Spur" RIO existing Tom Price to Dampier Railway IRON ORE RESOURCES NEAR FLINDERS DIAMONDS HAMERSLEY PROJECT E47/882 9 FLINDERS MINES - HAMERSLEY PROJECT EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING - 16 APRIL 2008 9 OCTOBER VISIT TO SOLOMON Exploration managers from FDL and FMG, John Ceplecha and Stuart Robinson examining drill cuttings from a hole in E47/1306 - 17 October 2007. 10 FLINDERS MINES - HAMERSLEY PROJECT EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING - 16 APRIL 2008 1 0 E47/1306 - FORTESCUE SOLOMON PROJECT THICKNESS OF CHANNEL IRON DEPOSITS E47/882 FDL 100% E47/1306 FMG 100% iron ore rights Royalty to FDL X-section Line 57 FMG camp Courtesy of Fortescue Metals Group 11 FLINDERS MINES - HAMERSLEY PROJECT EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING - 16 APRIL 2008 1 1 E47/1306 - FORTESCUE’S SOLOMON PROJECT VALLEY CONTAINING CID DEPOSITS Looking northwest along the valley with CID iron ore in the southeast corner of E47/1306. 12 FLINDERS MINES - HAMERSLEY PROJECT EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING - 16 APRIL 2008 Average grade of mineralised envelope 56%Fe, 7.3%Si02, 3.8%Al203, 0.08%P205, 8.1%L0I SM0052 SM0053 SM0055 SM0051 SM0056 SM0059 SM0057 SM0058 SM0060 SM0061 N E47/1306 - FORTESCUE’S SOLOMON PROJECT CID CROSS SECTION After Fortescue Metals Group 13 FLINDERS MINES - HAMERSLEY PROJECT EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING - 16 APRIL 2008
