David25, Some of the long term posters on this thread are able to demonstrate a reasonably astute understanding of the oil patch..They are not day traders; if they were, they would not be posting on this thread, simply because this stock is not a "daytrading stock"..
CTP has not been particularly volatile until a few days ago..Volatility is a necessary ingredient for day trading..
The very recent volatility has been solely due to the unwinding of artificial positions resulting from the Prime Dopes fiasco together with one or two other brokers unwinding their short selling situations..
If you take the time and invest the effort to study the x-trades and volumes apparent in CTP/CTPOA trades over the past week and a bit, then it must be obvious,even to you...
My own observations lead me to believe that some identity has been accumulating a sizable volume and I would be not at all surprised to see a "Substantial Shareholder" notice appearing before very long..
If you study the trading/volume patterns you will see that most of the trades have been buying initiated, rather than selling initiated, especially true from the middle of last week..
Buying demand appears to have slackened off,yesterday and today, as witnessed by the lower vols. and subsequent pricings..
In conclusion, some of us have invested in CTP since first listing and are still shareholders BECAUSE we understand the oil patch and the risks and potential rewards of this great game..I personally have an association with the oil patch both as a participant and an investor since the Genoa Oil N.L.days..
It will be a fitting reward if we strike the good stuff first up, but if we don't we will have another crack at making hole..That is what it is all about..As I and several others have repeatedly stressed, on this thread,the basic,underlying fundamentals for CTP are some of the best that we have encountered in many a long year..
