Yes, we are behind the 8-ball. But as far as Australia goes I think the tide will turn rather quickly, EV wise, when we are faced with $2 per lit petrol/diesel. In the meantime, we really need the gigafactories to ramp up production in order to meet current and future demand. No doubt we need more gigafactories to be built to avoid the emerging bottleneck. A pity Oz is to slow to capitalize on the synergy of our great lithium resource. We're always late to the party when all the cute girls are spoken for.
