Police play down reports of Perth gunman

Police cordoned off Perth's central business district this afternoon after reports of a gunman in the area, but they now say the man was probably unarmed.

Officers searched Exchange Plaza after a man made threats and implied he was armed, but police said there was no confirmation the man had a gun.

They say the man was known to police.

Workers have been allowed to return to the building.


Note the:"They say the man was known to police."

Of course he was! He maintains their airconditioning equipt. as well!
