Can anyone comment on this.
RAP are comparing the results to the simultaneous polysomnography test which is reportedly ~85% accurate (I haven't fact checked that). Does that mean there may be instances where the RAP app correctly diagnoses sleep apnoea but the polysomnography test doesn't. In that scenario does the accuracy of RAPs algorithm get reduced?
Or are the results of the simultaneous polysomnography tests and RAPs algorithm both compared to the final adjudication by an expert team (i.e. the smartcough study)? Therefore the outcome will be comparing the accuracy of the polysomnography test Vs the RAP algorithm and not the polysomnography test to the RAP algorithm..
To me there is a big difference
