On the other hand, I suspect that Ward is currently precluded from buying shares on market at current price (mid $0.30's) due to the information he would have been briefed with last week.
He might be able to buy on market after significant news is divulged, but the price may have sky rocketed by then, so having some options ($0.50, $0.70 and $0.90) along the journey seems reasonable. Otherwise he would have zero skin in the game atm.
But I have to agree, the shares issued at the previous AGM were absurd, especially given the directors already held significant shares and options (unlike Ward) and the issued options did not appear to be tied to any sort of performance.
