I deal with heaps of these people through work. They share the first rental, then share the first purchased house then ten years later the three families own four houses.

The Sri Lankan’s/ indians have done it previously, now the afghanis are doing it.
Until the population boom subsides (maybe twenty to forty years time?) the property prices of the big cities isn’t going to drop much. If it does it will recover extremely quickly.
My receptionist at work went to a apply for a rental, thirty people applied for this property, even more inspected it.
(I work far outer south east of Melbourne)
