i want to see the individual patient data

i know the statistics are supposed to tell you if there is more variation in the change in UPDRS scores between treatments (placebo considered a treatment) than between patients (natural variation) but 18 patients is not a very big sample and i'd sure like to see if a few patients skewed the data, i.e, did some patients just have a super result that skewed the data? if they had shown that every patient benefited i''d get much more excited. plus if they had included improvement in quality of living data, just how much better did the patients feel? plus how did they ensure patients were on the up and up when being tested and didn't do anything to try to jack up/down their scores on the day they were tested. it isn't easy to do this but it can be done. and did they just do the baseline testing once or more than once to make sure it was really representative of how the patient normally is? and it has been shown recently that vigorous exercise can improve scores, did they prevent the patient from doing anything that might reduce their UPDRS score such as a vigorous excercise program, losing weight, getting healthier? admittedly, most pd'ers will be noticeably worse after a year so if they get better than that is significant, they should be getting worse. keep in mind that evaluating pd'ers is subjective, measurements are all based on the experience of the healthcare professional, they move your arm and then give you a grade on how much resistence you show, you rotate your wrists, tap your fingers, walk up and down the hallway and turn, repeat counting numbers, stand up from a sitting position, do some strength measurements, each task receives a score from the medical professional, they aren't taking a blood sample and measuring a chemical. a patient could fudge a little on their baseline score and purposely create a lower score just by not trying as hard when asked to perform the tasks used to measure UPDRS and by doing so would just have to work normally to show improvement later on. i was tested for DBS and had to undergo the UPDRS test unmedicated and was so nervous and had such an adrenaline rush that i tested like i didn't have nearly as advanced a PD as i normally exhibited, but i was still accepted to get a DBS mainly because i had been seeing the same neuro for years and they knew what my avg score had been. what i'm trying to say is that they need a lot more patients to get this treatment commercialized imho, but who knows, N.Z. might let them sell it if another larger trial has good results. and i'd have to say if patients were really better, were doing things they hadn't been able to do, were taking far less medications, going out to dinner, doing sports and hobbies, etc, just looked and acted a lot better i would have expected much more than this low key report and something leaking out from the pd community in NZ. pd'ers usually belong to some type of pd support group and/or excercise groups so it's likely other pd'ers would notice an improvement and it would be impossible to keep that info from leaking out.

waiting for more data. if i missed it, i apologize, sold my stock at a loss after phase2 and this is the first day i've looked back into what they are doing.
