I fit into that bracket for better or worse. Three general things people tell noobies not to do is falling in love with a stock, invest more than they're willing to lose and not allocate over 10% into spec stocks.

SAS is the only stock I own. All my savings are invested in it which is around 80K. It has been a roller coaster buying in at an average of 18cents given over time I've watched the share price slump. Still, I decided to go down with the ship but speculations suggest that will not be the case.

I'm hopeful this is my golden ticket. If we reach $2 I will be a happy lad.
