As Melbourne's recycling stockpiles keep growing, so does the fire risk posed by the waste

Households will simply deem uncontrolled waste stockpile fires unacceptable. Big machine sorting capex ahead for all recyclers who want to stay in business. Government will have to incentivise business to make these urgent investments or see years worth of landfill consumed in months.
Higher garbage charges, capital assistance to recyclers, higher landfill fees all benefit CWY.
