Maybe they think that taking away the wage slave's buying power will reduce demand & therefore prices will fall ergo people starving will make food cheaper !!!
Only trouble is that the real reason that there is inflation is that the RBA (& every other Reserve Bank in the world) has been printing money like there is no tomorrow.
First thing they need to do is pull the plug on the presses.
