With nothing better to do, I just checked SNC's performance at where MA1 now is, ie. 2.5 years since listing. SNC's NTA at that point was 95c. Add in 9c of dividends gives 104c. MA1 has not paid a dividend and its NTA is 101c. Not a huge difference, though MA1 has certainly benefited from a stronger overall market, but been disadvantaged by its couple of shorts.
The really interesting thing though is that SNC's share price of 80c was at a 16% discount to the 95c NTA, which is exactly the same discount as MA1's 30/9 85c price to 101c NTA. Hopefully history will repeat itself.
