This is just a face saving exercise by Pelorus - they know now that they have no support from SH and if it is to come (ever) it would be with bad news from Centro, however by that time the administrators would probably be in and Pelorus' chance of pulling off their hair-brained scheme would be over.

Not that Centro is going to admin - far from it, as evidenced by the ridiculous valuations put on Centro by Macquarie and JPMorgan - its clear that these banks can't make anything from Centro and so its time to short it again! If Centro survives I would say that both these banks should a) be given a please explain, in no uncertain terms(!) and b) they would have lost considerable credibility.

BTW, even if Centro were to go into receivership, the above criticism of those banks would be valid if the eventual return to share holders exceeded $1 - which is very likely considering that the Centro business is making profits now and paying its bills!
