I agree, that scenario definitely isn’t impossible, however, neither is it very likely.
CAT won’t be contracting anyone to build, they’re only looking to get planning permission so they can sell the land. I wonder if you’re giving credence to the earlier suggestion that the houses might be built for the factory workers?
That’s just not the case. Organisations (other than the MoD) haven’t done that in the UK since the 19th century. Besides which, Shrewsbury isn’t exactly an isolated backwater devoid of any existing residential property.
If planning permission is granted then CAT would sell the land to a house builder to develop whichever way they see fit.
CAT’s interest stops as soon as the cash is in the bank. If they get that planning permission for 140 homes, that’s worth upwards of $23m. Nice.
Regardless of anything I’ve written, I hope you make a mint on this stock. For me it’s the most exciting story around at the moment.
