guys, some people think that thursday's ann will contain confirmation of bids.

now legally if cnp received offers for the entire company they are obliged to reveal that information to the asx asap.

and i'm not entirely sure that cnp received bids valued at $0.90c for a takeover.

it seems like a number of complex and complicated proposals were put to cnp that may have implied a price of 90c, but were not actual takeover offers. it seems like the bidders wanted to suck the best bits out of cnp with as little risk as possible, and leave shareholders with the debt and poor quality leftovers. this is what macquarie bank is notorious for.

that is why imo cnp has never made an announcement regarding bids. if they received an offer for 90c takeover, obviously they would have released it to the market as the sp would have immediately shot up and put a floor under the sp.
