Just a thought on UMC selling. At times selling looked to be from an inexperienced seller with large lines displayed on screen, but could have an overseas seller thinking the Australian market could handle such sales. Believe Oceanic Asset management have been a large seller in ARU (refer ARU thread), could Oceanic also be the seller in UMC? Interestingly, Ocean Equities Ltd prepared the Report of the 28/3/2008 valuing UMC at $2.39. Is there an association between the two? How convenient to prepare a report giving a valuation of $2.39!
Second thought on seller may relate to ROY (director's sale)& involvement in Opes scandal re PDN shares. This person was not a director of UMC, so no notices required, but could have been selling to raise funds to try & rescue PDN script held by Opes.
Just a could of thoughts that probably will become irrelevant with time.
Someone has certainly been given an extra opportunity to acquire stock due to possibly some forced selling.
WestAussie, don't believe AB was the seller.
