As I understand it Lynas has dedicated team constantly liaising with Govt depts in both WA & Malaysia on something like 78 different permits & licenses.
Issue here is new Govt shifted from international best practice, reuse of residue, which had been Lynas' primary focus.
Now they need to complete the "paperwork" for a fall back position, although hopefully the review will direct the Govt, as per SIRIM's three year analysis, back towards international best practice.
