i dont get why people are so averse to getting 'professional help'. I know everyone on HC knows better than the brokers, but i think youll find that there is a much higher percentage of HCites in the red over the last 5 years then there are brokers.

sure they cost a bit, and they typically dont know about the newest hottest stock until its already completed its run, but I think there is a lot to be said for consistent 15% returns over the long term.

My advice, stop taking punts. Stop buying stocks because you 'think/feel' they are cheap, do some research and get some genuine advice. If your trying to build and protect your capital, a broker is the place to start. If you want to get rich (or broke) quick, just ask for stock picks on public forums.
