Can we get back to discussing the company please?
Is anyone else concerned about the cash position? They burnt $35M last quarter and now have $10M in the bank thanks to a $15M USD loan. It's impossible to know how much of that $35M is related to mining and how much is related to commissioning. They are going to have to produce and sell a lot of product this quarter to ensure they don't need to borrow more money or do a CR.
At nameplate they should be producing 18k tonnes per month. Lets say they produce half of nameplate in November and December and then sell all of it in the quarter that means 18k * $1,200 AUD = $21.6M in revenue.
Lets hope $20M AUD in revenue plus $10M in cash is enough as we have no idea what the costs are right now. I think the cash position is the main concern and has been for a while now by people who knew how much cash they were burning internally. If I knew they were going to burn through $35M last quarter I would have been a seller. That's a lot of money and now the loan makes sense.
As you all know I've been a big supporter of the BOD through all of the delays but that $35M is really worrying. I don't have time to go back and look at how much they've blown the budget by but it must be a lot? They need to get their costs under control and quickly they can't afford another quarter like the last one...none of us can.
