However, let me pose a question to you. If someone posted on FB inflammatory and false accusations that declared that you were corrupt, a thief and that you had a sordid lifestyle - would you:

1) post back to that cretin ? 

2) Consult a lawyer ?

Now, the lawyer would advise to say and do nothing as the comments were libellous and defamatory and open to redress in the courts. To engage in an FB defence would make you look guilty

Why do you think the lawyer would give that advice? Then you can answer your own question.
