    I believe a marginal shortfall of supply over time would be preferable to a massive shortfall. A marginal shortfall would maintain market tension and better prices, but a continued massive shortfall would dent confidence.

    This would encourage disruptors to continue development of alternatives, and put EVs into the same position ICE manufacturers find themselves in today.
