Hi all this may seem like a silly question, regarding the box shape drawn by the past track of the Drillmax for those that have worked on theses type of drillships

Is this “box” the moon pool and does the riser flex sideways up to twenty meters , twenty meters seems a lot but the riser is 1km long so overall it’s very little flex?

I do remember someone posting on HC that drilling was like connecting straws together and pushing them into the ground a few meters, and I guess that’s how horizontal drilling works?

So if my basic assumption is correct it not a square dance but more like a moon pool dance for the Drillmax

Regarding no news being bad or good to me it’s a little strange because if we got news early then that would have been good news but now the longer it goes on with no news the higher the chances of good news. The Drillmax will not hang around for weeks testing a dry hole

Still hopeful but as CN said there is a 50% chance of failure, high risk, I hate it, but I love it!
