Opalin. I also saw the film 'kite runner', which I enjoyed. But the chilling part was how scared the local population was of the Taliban and their murderous, sadistic, and primitive way of imposing their will on all and sundry but especially women.
Anyone in this modern world who values womens' rights could not, under any circustances, support a group so savage as the Taliban in its treatment (mistreatment) of women in particular and its people in general. It is incredible that such a group of people still inhabit this earth with ideas mired in the dark ages.
