I don't know what the position was at MZC when Rob Murdoch was in charge of UCL, but am I wrong in thinking that Dr. Reid is gaining acceptance in Teheran as someone of considerable ability: "Union's Managing Director, Dr. Frank Reid was appointed chairman of MZC on 12th February"?
It seems like the Quarterly results came at an inconvenient time as far as project advancement is concerned. I think the meeting in Dubai is a last ditch attempt to reason with the Iranian authorities, but it may allow communication with them in a way that is not possible in Teheran. The opulence and success of Dubai surely can't be lost on a visiting Iranian delegation, and it perhaps is not too much of a cultural shock, and who knows they may be able to meet local investors there that might be interested in helping to get the project up and running. Anyway the intention to take 100,000 tonnes of ore out of Mehdiabad may also be helpful in demonstrating the project has been expropriated, so we must be getting closer to a resolution of some kind (either good or bad?).
