"playing the drums takes more skill than most other instruments, perhaps you can tell us why? "
Yes, playing the drums does require the mind to be able to do 4 diferent things at the same time: your right and left hands, left and right legs. Believe me, it requires a lot of co-ordination and timing and all those movements with the two hands with the drum rolls. With drums, I played it by ears though there were musical notes that you could play from.
I have always wished I could play the piano but never could do it. My family did have a piano at home when I was young and at one stage for some time mum played it. Dad played the violin :-)
I had said it before, the most satisfying part of playing music (be it singing or playing an instrument) is in your own ability to interpret and play it your way, very much like writing poetry. And, that is where the satisfaction lies.
