I wonder what implications tghere might be. Origin is the biggest player in the east coast gas sector and is vertically integrated from exploration to customer with a big presence in retailing in NSW. A large and growing reserve of CSG in western NSW (ESG's) may well be attractive to BG as well ... at least that's what the market seemed to speculate for a while yesterday.
I really don't think ESG is on anyone radar as yet (very few instos and no acquirers) .. or the share price would be much higher. An undiscovered gem I reckon. Hang onto your ESG .. if it proves up reserves as it is looking likley to do it will be very significantly rerated (as its MD said the other day).
