@Birchcorp the shorting part is something I'm really interested in. Are you suggesting some good news stories with the new CEO and possibly some favourable outcomes on the trade tariffs etc. Could cause shorters to close out their positions and need to buyback their shares?
i must admit I'm worried there's been nothing written about Macquarie sniffing around for over 2 weeks now. The sale of that life insurance business even if below market value (arguable given the sentiment around the industry and current landscape) made amp more attractive from a takeover perspective
