Western Desert Resources buy up slice of Thor

A South Australian resource company has taken a 17 per cent share of a mining group which owns a number of projects in Central Australia.
Western Desert Resources, adding to its interests in the Territory, has bought 25 million shares in Thor Mining.
Western Desert chairman Mick Billing says the mixed metal project at Molyhill, north-east of Alice Springs, has sparked particular interest.
"A lot of junior miners have had their share price quiet depressed in recent times. We are quite excited about the potential and we think we've got our interests in Thor at a very cheap price. We expect to do quite well out of it and we think the Molyhill project in particular is has the potential to be a very profitable operation."
