The more you hear them talking, the less confident you will feel about what you think you know. These guys are really running the long game, and it's a pretty big one.
Today they didn't unveil their commercial strategy, literally, secret(I suspect something new coming out soon, very tight lips)! But seems to me they are not worried about OEM partner(CAT or someone else), but they are abandoning the old commercial strategy, CAT makes and distributes, carries a CAT logo, FBR gets commission.

HX will carry FBR logo, HX will be a key component in WBG's new service solution, automatic wall system, load bearing walls under 3 days, faster delivery, more time cost saving, happy end customer experience.
FBR gets paid by per brick plus 20 other streams.
CAT wants DST and use it to reshape its own 21 century product solutions, no no, not going to happen, FBR is taking a hard stance for long term interests, that says something about their confidence for success.
