"Mr Gupta also foreshadowed an announcement on expanding production at Whyalla of iron ore beyond 100 million tonnes a year and adding large-scale steel production based on existing resources, infrastructure and energy supply.

"We are pursuing that objective and we will be announcing very soon some very existing developments on that side of things" he said.

"That is basically using our own iron ore, our own coking coal, our own railway, our own port, our own infrastructure, our own energy - all of that is available and we will see what best to do wth that.

"That is a longer journey though because you can't build new steel plants in one day it takes time but its a huge opportunity a massive opportunity, almost one of its kind on this planet today.""

Well, he wants to use his own iron ore. Does he have enough? And if not, is he looking for an acquisition?
