OK, maybe the LFPs were not banned (can not find the info at the moment). But LFP batteries certainly do not have a bright future. Just look at the figure below, taken from https://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/types_of_lithium_ion, which shows the poor performance in energy density. And an other figure showing the future prospects of the LFP batteries..... Of course predictions can be wrong (2nd figure) but the physics are right (1st figure).
