Skipped through bits and pieces of this Youtube and I notice a point come up, of which I checked in the Bible and against your NWT and the area is on this Lord or LORD matter. 1 Cor 1:2 makes reference to calling on the name of Jesus.
Acts 2:20-21 - The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Now I expect you are aware of this area and the counter arguments many put before the JW's in this area over the words Lord and Jehovah. I note that the NWT has Jehovah in both these Lord references in the Acts here. So some questions arise - From my understanding, Jesus will be returning as per the Acts 2:21 here, so should the Lord term here be Lord as in reference to Jesus? However, I think we also have other verses which say, both God and Jesus will be coming, but that could be in the same context as in Immanuel, God was here with us in Jesus, Spirit/Word. We do have verses where we can call upon Jesus, however, there are different context's to this calling references --> as in ask anything of me or in my name, knock and the door will be opened, Jesus being the door etc. Calling upon the name of the Lord --> we also have to take into account, God put ALL things into Jesus hands and what's God's is Jesus and visa versa.
Many argue certain points from and OT stand point as to certain things only applying to God and can apply to none other and when we get to the NT, it appears some of these things are referenced to Jesus, hence they then claim, see, see, God and Jesus are one in the same = totally neglecting as to how things have changed in the NT times and all things being placed in Jesus's hands. IMO, if one takes all that on board, their claims are void, useless.
The Bible is very clear, we now have two Lords --> LORD & Lord. From my research, Jehovah is really a title for LORD, not God's name at all. Now if that was taken on board, accepted or true and JW removed the word Jehovah from the likes of these Acts verses, their would be no argument to be had from these people?
You often try and use the verse of how Jesus said to pray, to support your Jehovah claim, but this verse does zero for supporting it, as Jesus only says, "our Father". Jesus in John ch 17 says, I kept them in the name of you and Father keep them in the name of you. = Word. We are clearly kept by accepting and abiding in --> The Word = The Word of God.
