As I have said before, don't think by quoting the KJV, is the be all to end all.
Just looked at the Hebrew interlinear for the Hebrew word where they derive "whose name is" = very questionable when you go to define the meaning of the Hebrew word.
The verse reads more like;
That they may know that You, name LORD, alone the most high.
Now I would suggest this could be read or perhaps should have been;
That they may know that Your, name LORD, alone the most high.
OR - That they may know that Your name, LORD, alone the most high.
In other words, it is not actually mentioning his name, addressing him as LORD and just saying that his name (not mentioned) alone is the most high. God's word is the beginning and the ending, first and last.
In the Hebrew, there is definitely no place to add the "is" as the KJV has, from what I could see, so that alone has a smell about it.
Keep in mind, the NT where Jesus is to be given a name above all names and the fact of the name he is shown to have just before coming in Rev 19:12-13 - The Word of God.
I have a question or a thought to put to you, I'm curious = you know how I say, suggest, God's name is Word and most including you I expect, just brush this off in the context, of how stupid, crazy etc and yet they are quite happy to accept, acknowledge the above, Jesus has the name = The Word of God? So the question or curiosity is, why is it so hard to see or accept that God's name could be Word.
We know the Bible says, he will be, was exalted and given a name Heb 1:4 - Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Name the word of God --> By Inheritance = there has to be something already there to inherit?
Named after the God and Father?
In the beginning was the word.............and GOD WAS the word = God is word.
Think about that in line with what God said to Moses = I am that I am = Word? --> how can you simply explain to Moses, all that, word entails, means?
So he said, Just tell them I am sent you, other wise, God would still be talking to Moses now, explaining who he is. lol.
