I ventured into the stock market in early 2007 (when I first actually had some money to invest). Suffice to say, it did not go well for me. Having being burnt by the GFC, I kept away from shares for a few years (again probably the wrong thing to do I know). Eventually, I gained the courage to give the stock market another go. I first bought into AEF at $58ps and have tried to buy into any dips that arise. My average price is now $90 - one of my better share market outcomes
The nice thing about investing in AEF and having a managed fund with them aswell, is that so far, I have been rewarded for investing in something that sits well with my outlook on life. I think it's best to be true to yourself and invest in things you believe in.
