The selling that's going on now is mostly nerves due to the price drop. I'd agree that this obviously overran itself - and it did it so visibly that a lot of short positions would have been opened this morning. I think it'll recover a bit today though as people begin buying back to profit take on these.
Of course - we won't know until this afternoon how it all plays out.
