Its interesting to throw figures around. The electricity companies may drop the feed in tariff so they can make a decent margin on providing the infrastructure to transfer power around. Here in Adelaide our peak electricity charge (which applies to the bulk of our bill) is 38 cents. If in three years time the electricity price is say 45 cents per kwh and the feed in tariff is reduced to say 5 cents what does that do to your figures?
Locating batteries within a residential environment is another problem and while the economics will probably continue to move toward a five year payback on solar and battery systems, placing them in a residential environment may not be easy. Targeting the telecommunication and business markets is the right way for Redflow to go.
