I think the ground, the distance from the coast, infrastructure, wheat belt area etc are very similar between ALK's ground and EXU's just on opposite sides of the country. ALK should buy on market (if it is permitted to under the agreement with EXU) enough shares to bring it up to just under 20% including the placement. That would involve buying just under 7.8% of EXU. Would bring its avg buy price significantly under the 12c placement price.
