Meant to be Australian beneficiaries, so unlikely the TO could be knocked back on foreigners owning strategic assets.
We hold a lot of GNC, and to be fair I’m glad to see it stay in Australian hands. I don’t want us to be owned by foreigners, especially China. It’ll be interesting to see labor’s stance once they get in. They are more concerned with political correctness and social justice policies. So wouldn’t surprise to see them take no interest and let the flood gates open to foreign ownership, especially if a sugar hit of CGT is realised since they will be racking up record deficits.
