My calculations do not account for bushfires that kill trees.
As I said before , trees are unable to make any real impression in reducing our CO2 footprint.
People say the world will regreen with more CO2 but that is a fallacy as CC will create a hotter and drier conditions in part of the world. Southern Australia will get drier, the Sahara will expand and the Amazon will lose much of its tropical forest.
We need technologies that can be scaled up to suck up and store CO2 in the medium term until things like nuclear fusion are developed.
